Montreal, February 24, 2015 – Tomorrow afternoon the Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee will meet to discuss Bill C-279, a bill that was passed by the House of Commons nearly two years ago.

We fear that if the bill is not passed as is by the Senate, transgender children and youth will continue to lack the recognition and protections other Canadians enjoy.

We invite the media to come and meet with us to learn about the challenges faced by transgender children and their families and the efforts of Gender Creative Kids Canada to get this bill passed.
