Calgary Sexual Health Centre, in partnership with Families Matter, would like to welcome, parents, families and caregivers of gender creative (Trans*, non-binary, gender independent, gender fluid, gender-queer, gender non-conforming) children, aged 4-14, to a monthly gathering. This will be an opportunity for you to have some adult time, to share stories and experiences, to create networks and get support in a non-judgemental and safe atmosphere so that you can learn how to best support the gender creative children in your lives.

This family-friendly night will offer free childcare and activities for the kids in your lives. The childcare space will be open for child drop off at 5:45pm and will be staffed by volunteers who are experienced with children and who understand the needs of gender creative children. All children, gender creative or not, are welcome to attend the childcare portion of the evening.

Gatherings will be held at Families Matter Trans Canada Centre, located at unit 158, 1440 52 Street, NE. We will begin right at 6pm, and finish around 7:30pm. If you are running a late, please still feel free to come in and have a seat. Meetings will be held on the third Tuesday of each month until June 2016.
All meetings will have time to connect with other parents/as well as time for learning/sharing. Each month will have a theme or topic, you are welcome to come for any/all of the nights. All activities are optional and everyone has the right to pass on anything they aren’t comfortable with.
